My weekend.

This weekend I drove to Rakvere with my friend Arinda. Her mom picked us up and we drove to Rakvere about an hour. Her mom can't drive, so we were getting really, really sick in her car. But (thank god!) we made a stop at a restaurant and we ate sallad and drank hot chocolate. About five o'clock we made it to Aqva Spa, where me and Arinda went swimming, meanwhile her mom was working. We had a lot of fun. We went to the saunas, swam and we had a lot to talk about. We were there about 4 hours and then we met her mom again and went to a restaurant, what her mom had desinged. The food was really great and my stomache was full. So about ten P.M we started driving back to Tallinn. In the car we listened to Sky Plus Top 40. and we sang all the way to Tallinn. In the end of the day we were so sleepy and tired, so I went to Arinda's place and we went to sleep. In the morning we woke up about 11 A.M and we went to watch T.V and so we did nothing and just layed there on the coutch. Sometimes I used the Relax & Tone too :)
Now I am at home, eating, because Arinda doesn't have ANYTHING to eat! And I'm doing my homework, because there's a history test tommorrow, so bye!

  1. Hi Aleksandra,

Your weekend overview is a very lively and fluent read, with a logical introduction sentence and conclusion! You sure have well fulfilled the criterion* of minimum 10 sentences. It's also great to see you using A.M. and P.M.! Good job!

Here are some suggestions for improvement:
    - You have missed the criterion of mentioning at least one year number. You can still update your posting with that bit by tomorrow (February 28). Use the 'edit' function.
    - You could use more structure - paragraphs** - in the post to make it easier to read.

Here are also some learning points from this text that you can take with you for the future.

    1. In the sentence 'Her mom picked us up and we drove to Rakvere about an hour' - it should be '..drove to Rakvere in/for about an hour'.

'In about an hour' - tunni ajaga
'For about an hour' - tund aega (vastates küsimusele 'kui kaua?').

In the same way, in the sentence 'We were there about 4 hours..' it should be 'We were there for about 4 hours..'

    2. Some little spelling mistakes in words:
    - The English word for 'salat' is 'salad' - there is just one 'l' in the middle
    - The English word for 'kõht' is 'stomach' - there is no 'e' at the end of the word
    - The English word for 'diivan' is 'couch' - there is no 't' in the word

    3. Before saying the time, we use preposition 'at': At (about) five o'clock, '..we woke up at about 11 A.M'

    4. The three forms for the word 'lamama' are 'lie', 'lay', 'lain'. Therefore, '..we did nothing and just lay there..'

    * criterion - kriteerium (mitmuses: criteria)
    ** paragraph - lõik
